I woke up once in the night and applied Aquaphor for relief. The itching is horrible. I wake up in the morning feeling tired, but that's not surprising. I'm going to be working from home today and that will keep my mind of it. After showing I apply Efudix to my temple and I leave my skin to drip dry and consider leaving off the Aquaphor to see if I get less itchiness/tingling. After a few minutes my skin feels very tight so I apply Aquaphor and this gives some relief but the tingling under my eyes returns, accompanied by a burning feeling across my cheeks. My nose is also tingling.
I think I must have gone to the loo to check my face 20 times today. It's so uncomfortable that I've had to wash it with warm water three times to get some relief. I'm not sure whether the Aquaphor is contributing to the discomfort or not, but I keep applying it to keep my skin moist and protected. I wash in the evening about 8pm and apply Efudix to my temple. This will be my last treatment with Efudix. I notice some crusting of the skin before doing so and can't really tell if the sore is completely gone. I've applied Aquaphor to the rest of my face. I think the redness has subsided a bit, but I cannot be sure. Tomorrow is the first day of my recovery :-).
